Embodied Abstract Painting Workshop

Embodied Abstract Painting Workshop

A workshop exploring inner-connectivity and self-expression. Saturday, October 6, from 10 am - 5 pm, with a one-hour break for lunch from 1-2 pm.

At the C St Studios, 208 C St. Eureka, CA.

In celebration of the shift into autumn, feeling the beginnings of the turn inward and towards the womb of winter, we will tune in to the information housed in our bodies using simple movement and awareness exercises to source our unique creative impulses. Through the discipline of following these impulses we can embark on a path of authentic self expression, and create compelling art regardless of skill level.

The equinox is about balancing the dark and the light, the inner and the outer, deepening our inner knowing and recognizing what we’ve,grown and developed within. We will look deep within ourselves to find new creative resources and shine light on hidden gifts. As the days grow darker, my bright studio is a sweet space to spend a day shedding the old and unwanted and gathering and storing what will nurture and inspire.

Along the way we will learn about process, basic color mixing and painting techniques for abstract painting.

Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move in and don’t mind getting paint on - (acrylic paint does not come out!). I will provide some wine and a non-alcoholic beverage. Please feel free to bring a beverage to share.

$160, supplies included.

The workshop fee minus a $20 non-refundable registration fee is refundable until September 29, 2018.
